Consider this: Would you let a 50 year old experienced high school grad mechanic or a 25 year old doctorate degree mechanical engineer fix a car? Would you let a 40 year old high school grad lady or a 20 year old college student babysit a toddler?

In both the cases, the experiences counts latter than the degree. B'coz the practical obtains the vast depth knowledge than the degree, which may have current influence on teoritical degree. Practical experience does matter.

I would want references from either before making a big decision...so I assume that the person with excperience would have the upper hand. It all depends.

experince is more valuable than studyies. here in india most of the mechanics are uneducated but they r doing a great work. and what i feel is that there is no substitute for experience
