I see them on the tv or in a movie and I know there is one at Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina. I heard that one is now secured. They look so fun and scary. Mt kids wanted to build a miniature one across the creek in the backyard.lol Has anyone actually crossed one?

I had to walk across several while hiking the Andes in Peru. Scared the living crap out of me.... seriously. We also had to ride in a basket across a cable to get over a river. Surprisingly, THAT was a blast, but those darn rope bridges, forget it!

When I was a little kid. But it wasn't anything high up. It was across some water.
Which was a little scary because the water was yucky and the middle of the bridge actually touched the water.
Growing up in Florida, one is taught that if you see a body of water, then there is a gator in it. So, I was scared that a gator was gonna eat me or a snake would pop out of the water. Or that I would fall into the water!!!

I don't believe I could cross such a thing. I remember watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom when they crossed that hanging bridge and thought to myself that I wouldn't be able to cross it. I would freeze solid.

Yes, a couple of years ago I crossed Carrick a rede bridge in Co. Antrim. It was terrifying. My daughters ran across it and didn't care, but I was so scared looking down at the sea crashing over the rocks below. Afterwards we all got a certificate to say that we had crossed the bridge.:)
