Have you ever used a holistic medicine? I was just wondering how it has helped you. Please tell me of your experiences and how holistic medicine has helped or not helped you.

Within your broad category, I have used herbs, acupuncture, chiropractic and magnets. All have been helpful, and I recommend them to you. It is important to use herbs with care. I got mine prescribed by a Chinese herbalist; I did not just self-subscribe! I got a terrible case of flu from accepting a flu shot from my western MD and finally listened to friends who had encouraged me to see an acupuncturist. The acupuncturist cured me quickly! It has been effective for other problems as well. My SIL and I had similar back pain problems. She got theusual surgery and stillhas problems more than 20 years later. I went to a chiropractor and was cured within a year, and have remained cured. A magnet bracelet helped me with joint pain problems.

I have used homeopathic medicine. But as a nurse we where trained in holism, ie treating the whole person instead of the symptom, but I don't think they grasped that holism and holistic medicine are considerable different.
You can practice holism and stick to conventional treatments and therapies.
To be holistic you have to look at everything and use alternative therapies along side conventional therapies. I do have a lot of faith in holism but I also believe that in some cases conventional medicine and therapies are best.
