I was Careful, Other people will Careless

On the way to school yesterday night, i was almost hit by a fast moving care while traversing the highway. I was on a four-lane highway. A car slowed down giving me opportunity to travers when all of a sudden out of nowhere another car from behind it speed up and overtook the front car. I panicked. It was so fast, the moment i looked at my right again there was this speeding car heading towards me. I knew i had to step back to avoid being hit by it and by doing so i was almost hit by another car from the opposite lane. it was only an inch that separated me from the car, otherwise i would have been seriously injured or perhaps dead by now. I was very careful that time. i wouldnt have traversed the highway if i knew a car was gonna overtake another car. no matter how careful i was, t'was not a guarantee of my safety. thank GOD i was not hit. it was still a lucky day for me, i guess.
