do you set yourself targets

for example my current target is reach 250 posts (and im nearly there, before that my aim was to get a rating of 8, now im aiming for a nine and $3. Do you set yourself targets for posts, ratings and earnings? I think it makes it a little bit more fun.

I guess I can say that. I do not really care about the number thing (the star beside my name) as I was a 5 and now am a 7 and all my posts I beleive are of high quality, its just that people disagree with my thoughts that make it lower. I do try to post 50 times in a day, and I do not care about how much money I have earned from posting. I earn different amounts depending on the quality of my post and I assume what people rank it or whatever. Minimum 1 cent for each reply I am sure. But one question for you, how do you have 245 posts and not yet $3? I had acheived that amount at 100 posts, and now have 9.50. I do recommend trying to post longer than ussual answers, that is probably the key of earning more money on this site if that is what you are after.

Some days i only manage up to 10 posts if im busy but some days when i have more time i can post 50 or 60. One day i posted about 8 times and only made 2 cents which puzzled me a bit, i mean i wasnt expecting much but surely more than that? Some of my answers are rather long, i think thats how i managed to get my rating up to an 8 but i will make an effort to make them a bit more in depth. Im not really all that bothered about the earnings but i would like to keep my rating high and even improve it to a 9 or 10.

Good luck with reaching your 250 target, you are nearly there! I reached my goal today of 2000, which I am pleased with. Yes it does make it more exciting. I think a lot of people have their own personal targets on this site. I don't go for money targets tho because although the money is useful it is not my main aim here on Mylot.

my aim is to get atleast 1000 friends and to one day get paid. im only at $8.50 and ive been hear for six months now.

Well I do for number of posts. Depending on the day I'll decide on a minimum number to try and get to. Usually I do but some days I don't. Yesterday I wasn't feeling good and I barely got anything posted. Today I'm feeling a bit better and I'm chugging along on here. I don't know if I'll meet my goal but I'm going to try. If not oh well to quote Scarlet "tomorrow is another day".

I usually set myself a target of posting at least 10 posts a day. I work full time, so the amount of time I can spend on here during weekdays is limited. I think a goal of at least 10 posts per day is manageable and on weekends I aim to do 20 posts per day. Sometimes I can struggle to find 20 posts that I want to reply to though as I only reply to posts when I feel I can give a quality repsponse so only choose posts related to things that I am interested in. Hey, i've just noticed that you've achieved your goal for reaching the big 250, what's your next goal going to be - 500 perhaps, I would say i'll race you but you'll definately win.

Yep my next goal is 500. I wouldnt definatley win, as some days i have although i only work part time so do have more time on my hands. You have a similar amount of posts to me so just out of curiosity would you mind telling me what your earnings are?
