Why do in-laws have to make our lives so crazy?

Maybe because you let them get to you. I on the other hand have very little to do with my inlaws just because I'd rather not put up with the drama they tend to cause. I deal with them very very limited (enough that my children know who they are and get to visit them every few months). You shouldn't let your inlaws get to you, after all you did not marry them.

We actually live in the appartement upstairs my in-laws' duplex house, and I never have any problems with them. My mother in law is not the type to put her nose in our lives. She always calls before coming upstairs, which she doesn't do very often. She'll always admire somethings I do, like a new decor in the dinning room. She never complains about us. I think i have the best in-laws in the world! Everyone is always complaining about their inlaws.

I have very lucky with my in laws we get along very well, I do have some issues with my brother in law but i keep it civil with him most of the time
