My mother and I still love this book. It features Grover of Sesamee Street. As you go through the book he (Grover) is terrified that there is a monster at the end of the book and begs the reader not to finish the book, so as to avoid the monster. Grover tries all sorts of tricks so the reader cannot get to the end of the book and encounter this monster. Howver the monster at the end of the book is indeed Grover himself.

One of the best children's books ever. My dad used to read it to me, and he could do Grover's voice perfectly. My wife and I found a copy and bought it for the baby we're about to have. I only hope I can do the Grover voice half as good as my daddy.

Yes I do remember that book. We actually found it again for my neice and she loved it as well. I also remember another one with him being locked into a museum but I could never find it again. Grover did have some very good books.

We have so much in common it seems. We found the book for my kids and my mom found it recently just to have for herself so we get it out every once in awhile and she reads it to me LOL
