another one from my brother Early this year, some Boeing employees on the airfield decided to steal a life raft from one of the 747s. They were successful in getting it out of the plane and home. Shortly after they took it for a float on the river, they noticed a Coast Guard helicopter coming towards them. It turned out that the chopper was homing in on the emergency locator beacon that activated when the raft was inflated. They are no longer employed at Boeing. Here's your sign, guys. Don't get it wet; the paint might run.

Sounds to me like dumb and dumber here I reckon ..... lucky they were only sacked and not charges for the cost of the Coast Guard Helicopter searching for them ..... here in Australia if someone lets off the EPERB (honing signal when lost) and they are not lost or in immediate danger they are charged with an offence and have to pay the cost of the search and rescue team. That should happen everywhere and the offenders should be made to pay because someone has to

I totally agree with you. People would be more careful with where they went and what they did.

Thanks for sharing and let's go on: A guy had been feeling down for so long that he finally decided to seek the aid of a psychiatrist. He went there, lay on the couch, spilled his guts then waited for the profound wisdom of the psychiatrist to make him feel better. The psychiatrist asked him a few questions, took some notes then sat thinking in silence for a few minutes with a puzzled look on his face. Suddenly, he looked up with an expression of delight and said," Um, I think your problem is low self-esteem. It's very common among losers."
