Karaoke! Does anyone still do it? They say that it's a thing of the 90s this karaoke, but I love going out with my friends to sing. Nah, we're not really good singers but we do have fun singing all the boyband easy to sing songs, not to mention losing ourselves (and notes) on Mariah Carey songs LOL and we'd almost always end our drinking singing sessions with all of us going up and doing our rendition of Bohemian Raphsody! LOL I love it. I'm looking forward to Friday night! What are your plans for the weekend? Anyone up for karaoke?!

There is a bar in my city that has it every Wednesday night and my friends and I go all the time and have a blast with it. The bar is always packed and all kinds of people are singing. Karaoke will never die :)

I like the way you put it. Karaoke will never die!! Most people that do not like karaoke are shy people. Even though they can sing, they're just too shy to get up there. If i were alone, I'd be shy too. But I loooovee going up on stage with my friends hehehe

OH! I wanna go to a Mardi Gras parade too!!! I know everything about it from watching tv lol. It beats karaoke anytime! But as for you not being able to sing, it's okay! LOL I can't sing too, shamed to admit but nobody really cares anyway so you just go all out. Bring good friends, drink shots of Courage and go for it girl! :D

Yeah, I use that, I have a studio software from which I compose bgm for my own songs, but for popular songs I get the karaoke with a software that devocalizes the tracks, it is simply awesome and it is great to hear your own voice in the original track. You can rate yourself and improve your singing.

I wish I could do that. I have tried to devocalize songs, but couldn't get enough of the vocals out without the music sounding bad. There are some songs I would love to have on karaoke that aren't available, and probably never will be.

For Christmas , I got one of my daughters a karaoke machine . It was the best gift I got in a long time . We are now a little over a month after Christmas and it is not broke or stuck away never to be seen again .
It is used almost every night and there is always someone asking if they can come over to karaoke on any day of the week .
We are not very good singers either but we all have lots of fun doing it .
The karaoke machine we have , rates you on how well you can sing and how well you can carry a note . It is amazing to see how we have all improved with our singing . And it is a lot of fun because it is always a contest to see who can sing a particular song better . We keep track of it all to see how we are improving .
We enjoy it very much and can't wait to get more new songs for it now , which we are going to see if we can get next weekend .

yes I do, a friend has a new karaoke machine and we get together and sing and play around-I enjoy it, we used to go to a coffee shop and drink coffee and karaoke. It sounds like you have fun too. Its a good way to get a group of people together and laugh and have fun!

i love some things even if it's a classic already. and one of them is karaoke. i really love singing in karaokes. and even when at home, i put on my videoke CDs on my DVD player and sing with my family. a friend of my dad owns a karaoke bar and when i go to my dad's place to visit him (my parents don't live together), i always get to be invited to sing in his friend's place. it's good to take away the stress!

Karaoke isn't as common as it used to be around here. The last time I saw it was at a wedding that I attended in October and that was a first in quite awhile! Back when I was in public school, they would always offer Karaoke at a fun night that the school would host every year. I used to be excited about participating but these days I'm too shy..

When i used to assistant manage a bar i also covered shifts and we used to have a Karaoke night every Tuesday. We used to get some pretty good turn outs at times so i think that it is still great. I for one used to always go on my days off and sing also!

I have a client that does it almost as a religion. I have the misfortune of ending up on the same cruise as he was on (completely unplanned that we'd both be on same ship) and I found out he was actually pretty good.
For me I can't sing a note to save my life so I spare everyone the horror.

Heheh I don't know how to bowl la! I mean, I know how to and on some occassions I get a strike..but after the 7th game the ball gets too heavy and the two times that I went bowling and swung, the ball slipped from my hand and rolled backwards instead. It was embarassing.

I have some very fond memories of karaoke nights at our local pub. I even won them a couple of times although mostly it was just for fun. I sometimes wish we still had karaoke nights, they were always a giggle and a good night out but they were discontinued in favour of line dancing :-(

My friends and I go to karaoke every Wednesday night and sometimes on weekends too. I also have karaoke machines at my house and invite friends over to sing here sometimes.
We have a great time whether singing here or at one of the bars. It's a great opportunity for my friends and I to get together at least once every week and have a good time.
I have also come in second and third place in several karaoke contests that I have entered. As I told my friends though, I never entered with any thoughts of winning. I entered to get the chance to sing. I was surprised that they chose me, but I was honored to be among those that made it into the semi-finals.

Karaoke is a very healthy activity. Even if you aren't really a singer, it is a good way to learn!
