Ha! This is something my partner can tell you more about. He constantly fears that I would get into an accident in the kitchen given how careless I am sometimes. I have cut myself while preparing veggies on several occasions without even knowing I did so, either, until I see blood or feel pain when I wet my hands or touch something that stings, will I know I DID IT AGAIN. Surprisingly enough, I don't cut myself with just a knife. I also end up with cuts while using scissors.

lol.. normally i burn myself in the kitchen.. never too bad but i'm always brushing up against hot pans or grabbing lids without thinking of grabbing the hot cloth first. I don't normally cut myself but I did the other day pretty nicely on the top of a soup can. Bled like a stuck pig.. actually thought I may have to go get a couple stitches..

yes it happens with me even now, i think i can cook better now and i also manage to cook it fast and do all my house hold work better and fast , but it is only the chopping which is really difficult for me and if i try to make it hurry then i cut my finger and i think more then 10 times it has happened to me.

I don't remember actually ever cutting myself while preparing ingredients but I have on several occasions grated my knuckles, usually whilst grating vegetables for making soup, my oldest daughter has now taken to calling hand grating 'the more meat method' which I have done for years.

I have cut my finger many times trying to peel potatoes. The knives we have aren't very sharp, but it seems the knife slips off of the potaoe and knicks my poor fingers almost every time.

That has happened to me a few times, I just wash it so it is clean and put a badaid on it. And then feel sorry for myself.

Yes, a few times. About a month ago, I was cutting a carrot and it rolled out of my hand. I brought the knife down on my thumb and cut deep into my finger and fingernail. I had to keep pressure on it for quite a while to keep it from bleeding and then put liquid band-aid on it.
