So here's a picture of my first snowman in over 6 years. I grew up in Chicago, spent 8 years in Kansas City, and the past 6 in SW Florida. We just moved to the Nashville, TN area almost a year ago. I really missed the seasons changing, and the snow. Always loved the snow, ice skating, sledding, making snowmen, throwing snowballs, driving donuts in parking lots lol. Our weathermen really blew it here 2 days ago, we were on the edge of getting between 1-4 inches of snow. Schools closed in anticipation, and NO SNOW!! Me & the girls were ticked. So, last night (Thurs), I look out the window at 3 am, and there's about 1 inch of snow, I know not much, but enough for me lol. My 15 year old and me went out and played in it, built the small, sad looking snowman lol. Today, bought a sled, and we spent the day wearing all the snow out on the hill in our backyard. No real point to this, other then to say I'm so excited about the "minor" snow, too bad it doesn't snow much more here. And, to show off my pathetic little snow man...

Thank you for sharing that Signal. I was born in Florida, no snow there. Then I grew up a lot in California, the southern end. No snow again. I lived in NY for 15 years, and then learned what snow was. I loved it, but never made a snow ball or a snow man. Sob. Now I am in the desert in the foothills of Arizona. No snow in my area. So dear, you are very lucky. When it comes, have fun in it. Blessings, M&M

I'll bet you learned real quick in NY what snow was!! lol I just saw a headline on the news somewhere, some county in NY got 100 inches of snow? Something like that, I was doing something else, and didn't read it.

It did snow alot there, and I loved it, except for the yellow snow, that was nasty.

LOL Cute!!! Isn't it disappointing when there's no snow? I was so excited moving back up North, and nothing....oh well, maybe someday we'll get a few inches of snow dumped on us :)

I am a born and raised Florida girl myself. You should have seen my first snowman! LOL It looked very sad. And I didn't realize that food coloring would turn it into looking like a big snow-cone! LOL But I got another try this year because we moved to Oklahoma just over a year ago. The kids and i worked really hard! LOL And even though our's is a little small compared to some other people....so he started a snowman competition. :) hehe http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/725538.aspx I think we did pretty good. And hey, I like your snowman! :) I am glad to hear that you got enough to play in. And you sound like me and my daughter...going out at 3am to play in the snow. hehehe That is something we would do. :)

Oh yours looks much better lol!! I remember when I was a kid, we'd roll the balls so huge, we couldn't pick them up lol Had to have my dad come out and pick it up for us. They'd be so tall, like 6 feet, just huge! Never thought of the food coloring, that's a good idea!! Did you ever see that email with Calvin & Hobbes (cartoon characters) and their snowmen? It's a riot!! I want to do something like that :)

Oh I miss snow and other change of seasons indicators. I grew up in Michigan and now live in Florida so I haven't seen it in a long time. I'm sure if I did have snow I'd complain about the cold but I miss the beauty it could have. Let alone the fun of a snow ball fight or building a snowman. Sounds like you and your fifteen year old had a lot of fun. I wish I could have joined you in.
