The Offseason

Kansas City lost in the first round of the playoffs, unfortunately. The offseason this year is extremely important. I think we need to pick up an almost entirely new defensive line, and offensive line. We also need to focus on wide recievers. What free agents should we be looking at? Any new talent coming up through the draft?

A good defensive end is going to be key next year. I also think a good #1 legitimate reciever is essential. I am not sold with Huard at QB, but Trent looked very gunshy by the end of the year.

I think they need some recievers, and O Linemen like you say. I would really love to see a big blocking fullback added. I home they keep Bennett as Johnson's backup, I think he shows a lot of promise.

I don't know if the defense or offense needs improvement... I'm thinking the defense.

I guess we will find out this weekend what the Chiefs priorities will be. The draft is this weekend. Will shields retired, Trent Green could be traded on or before draft day and Dante Hall was just traded to the Rams. I am afraid next year will be a rebuilding year. Expect a 6-10 season at the most.

I'm a little concerned with the choices they are making on their picks. I like Trent Green but they should have traded him. He's not going to get any play time this upcoming season anyhow. They also ignored their O line when making their selections - which was a bad decision. We shall see. *crossing fingers*
