Jason Newsted Vs. Cilff Burton

Newstead does not have enuff balls to face Burton with a bass guitar in hand, that's for sure!! Ever heard of "(Anaesthesia) Pulling Teeth"? I don't think Newstead have enough skill to create a solo like that. Also, considering the circumstances why Metallica practically begged Burton to join is because both Kirk and James thought he was playing guitar the way he played his bass guitar. Burton's condition for joining the band was they'd relocate to his hometown. They didn't think twice just to get him to join.

Jason is good but Cliff burton was a gem of metallica and is deeply missed by Hetfield and other members of Band... As a tribute to him.. I would say that Cliff Burton WAS a Better Bassist.. :o) Keep rockin'

Jason was by far the better Bassist.
