If so, do you like programs or shows from other countries as well as your own? I am a Canadian, but I prefer watching British comedy series like Black Adder and the British soaps.

Oh most definitely I prefer shows from other countries. Of the ones I love are Friends, Desperate Housewives, Frasier, Charmed, Will & Grace and the like. Used to love Dallas and Dynasty (who remember those shows?), Cybil, Roseanne, Ellen, Melrose Place and many others over the years. I watch several British soaps including Eastenders and the Aussie ones too - Home & Away and Neighbours but not too keen on our home grown comedies such as Black Adder, Red Dwarf and Monty Python (I'll get shot by me fellow Brits for admitting that LOL). I used to love Absolutely Fabulous which finished a while ago and also The Vicar of Dibley which finished just recently. I guess on balance I'm more hooked on US TV shows than UK ones. Does that make me a bad person? I think not, just makes me honest to admit I watch more imported stuff than homegrown TV :)

I like watching tv when I have the time to do it. I just hate the too much commercials here in the Philippines. I am a filipino but I prefer watching American Idol! Yes! they are aired here too. I watch HBO, discovery channel, cnn, and fox on our cable. We only pay 300 pesos a month for the cable to see American TV shows. 300 pesos is only $6 USA. It's cheap to get the cable here.

Thank you for your reply! Sounds like a lot of Brits enjoy American tv and vice versa.

I too am Canadian, and like a lot of British comedy (Monty Python, Blackadder, Bean, Little Britain, Red Dwarf). I'm not impressed by American Sitcoms, but Canada is now starting to produce some good stuff. Little Mosque on the Prairie and Corner Gas are my favourites. For dramas, I like the big American networks: Lost, CSI, Bones, NCIS, Heroes.

I used to love Blackadder, we used to sing slackbladder to the theme song, lol. You'lll never sing it properly again now. Shrek is more likely to watch the soaps than me as it is around my kids bedtime but I do sort of keep up with them a little bit. I like SuperNatural about 2 brothers and someting different and evil happens every week, Buffy, Angel and Charmed when they are on, Dr Who and Torchwood, Hex is ok but a bit slow - it was quoted as the British version of Buffy but it's far too slow for that.

I used to watch a fair amount of TV, then I got Internet access. Now I spend a lot more time online than watching TV. the TV I do watch is a few dramas, plus news and sports, and the occasional movie.

Yes, i do. I like watching tv programs produced by locals as well as international programs too. I am not bias when it comes to watching tv programs. I watch tv programs from Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Phillipines, Thai and India as well as English programs from US, UK and Australia.

I prefer to watch documentaries and some movies once in a while. I am subscribed to plenty of channels, though, I generally watch like 5 of them on a regular basis. the internet is slowly replacing TV, now as you can decide what you exactly want to watch.

I must confess that watching tv is not on my priority list. Although there are some shows that I enjoy watching I will not come back home running because it's starting soon :) I do like British comedy. I also like shows like NCIS and CSI. I like Lost and charmed ( which is not on anymore ) - but I have little patience to wait for the next episode so what I did was to buy the videos with each season. And I like to watch documentaries - History, science etc. As for watching shows from other countries, sometimes I do. Portuguese shows, Brazilian shows, French, Italian, Spanish... and I did find many good shows that way.
