I have been an avid reader all my life and I can honestly say I read every book from cover to cover. A brief history of time by Steven Hawking took me ages to get through as I didn't understand half of it, even though it was aimed at amateurs, and I have to keep having another read of some parts lol. If I find I like the writing of a certain author I will scour the sales and charity shops to obtain more of their books. I read the back cover of books and have got quite good at picking books I will enjoy reading, so maybe I am lucky there.

I do not always finish reading the books that I have started but most of them I do. The more interesting the book the more likely I am to finish the book and will let someone else borrow the book to read. If it is boring, then I probably would put it aside.

This must be a great topic. Actually, i haven't finished every book i started to read. I even have to start read a new book without finishing the other. Maybe in your mind you know what will be the ending that's why you are not interested about the ending. I just collect my book put it on my shelves.

Oh yes. I almost always finish the book I start to read. Only when I read a book that I didn't choose maybe I don't finish to read it.

It takes me ages to read a book, unless I am really enjoying it then I won't be able to put it down. However the last book I couldn't finish, it got so boring, it was an autobiography of a football player it was about addiction, I usually enjoy autobiography's about famous people but this was all about football and only a small chapter on the footballer's actual addiction. I found it hard going and the continual mention of football matches etc, that I gave up.
