The oldest memory I can recall was eating a sandwich at my grandmothers house. I remember being fascinated by the frilly toothpicks she had in the sandwiches since I'd never seen anything so cool before. My mother told me that my grandmother passed away when I was 3 years old and was suprised that I could remember something from such a young age.

I totally remember. My mother and I were on a wrecked ship on the shores of Washington State. We were picnicing there for the day. The ship was laying sideways on the shore and I remember my mother saying "stay there Kimmy honey!" (we were just exploring it, not involved in a ship wreck)as I watched her slide down the slanted deck of the ship. I remember the sand on the wooden deck and it falling, like it was following my mother as she slid. It is so clear to me. My mother said it's impossible that I remember that, but I do, I guess I was barely 2 years old at the time. I also remember she was wearing black, tight capris. This was in 1966 or 1967. The ship is longer there either.
