I passed it at 18, the first time I took it. My father bought me a car as a reward for passing the roadtest.

I passed my driving test when I was 20. It was my first attempt. I moved to a rural community when I was 20 and it is a necessity to drive. I never realized how challenging transportation could be. I grew up in Toronto Canada where there are buses and taxi and most everything is in walking distant. You never had to worry about getting anywhere. If I was to go back to a city I would get rid of the car. It is a huge expense but needed if you are in the country.
