Anyone near Knightdale, NC?

My husband and I are planning a move in June or July around Raleigh. We've asked around and looked around online (we're planning a trip there a little later in next few months) and Knightdale seems like our best bet. Does anyone live near or in Knightdale?!? How do you like the area?!? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am not a big fan of that part of the state. Unless he HAS to work in Raleigh, you should consider towns around Charlotte, Ashville or Hickory. Seems like every time I have been around Raleigh it was summer and very muggy.

Unless you're in the mountains of NC you're going to run into hot and muggy anywhere you go. But I do agree, unless he's GOT to be in Raleigh, there's a lot of places that offer just as much.

Well we're kinda stuck on moving to Raleigh. It's a long story, but I'm from South Carolina, and my husband is from Delaware. We wanted to go somewhere in between the two, and he chose Raleigh as where he wanted to work.

I live in South Carolina currently and my husband is from New York, I grew up in North Carolina, about 40 minutes from Raleigh. We were considering moving to this area also, I think we were looking in the Zebulon, Apex or some town near there. Property prices seem to be resonable, and North Carolina is beautiful.

That's what it's looking like for us too. Actually, our realtor said that Knightdale isn't a very good area because of the deprecation value. So now we're looking into Apex, Zebulon, Holly Springs, etc.

Hi, don't live there personally myself, but my ex does, and I've lived in and around Raleigh for a long time. Knightdale is really growing up, getting more stores, while being close enough to Raleigh to hit the mall if you need to. And with the completion of I-540 it's even easier getting where you need to go. If you want a little more "country" try out towards Wendell, Rolesville, Zebulon, even going South towards Garner works for that country feel. Where are you moving from, what age kids? Knowing that will help gear my answers best to you.

Wow! Thanks for your help! We ARE looking for a 'country' feel, but we want to be close enough to Raleigh so that my husband can wrok around that area. We're from Delaware and by the time we move, Kaylee will be about 15 months old.
