Animated Gif's on mylot?

I have tried uploading animated pictures in my discussions.The are just appearing as images they are not working when i upload them.Some body on mylot said we should upload them in 60*60 format.I did but still they are not working. They are working when i attach them but after discussion is posted they are not working.

I was possibly the person that suggested using 60 by 60 pixels because I have given that advice in several discussions. This advice was intended for avatars, but I see no reason why it should not hold true for discussions as well.
I have used 7 or 8 different animated avatars and have resized at least a dozen for other members, and so far it has worked perfectly every time.
If the image is not animating, it may not be a gif file or it may even have been editing in photo editing software by mistake and converted to a static image.
