I am in a situation right now that seems hopeless. My husband was in an accident and could not work for 3 months. He is back to work, but for less pay. We are up to our eyes in debt and tonight we ran out of oil for our furnace. They will be here tomorrow to fill the tank, but it is really cold right now. I need to make some money ASAP. I am unable to work outside of the home and I need to know are there any J-O-B-S out there online. I have searched everywhere and I have applied to many. The problem is they are either scams or I just do not have the qualifications. I am just at my wits end and I hope someone out there can help steer me in the right direction. Thanks. DD

I think this year has been rough on everyone. I'm so sorry about the situation your in and can completely understand about things looking hopeless. I'm not sure what kind of online job you are looking for but if you are into the data entry or secretarial type I suggest joining www.melodysmommy.com. The are linked with www.getafreelancer.com. Lots of new jobs posted daily. Granted I haven't actually GOTTEN a job through there yet but I've been able to bid on a few jobs and they aren't charging me anything to do it.

Sorry for all your problems. I know how what it is like to be ill, sick or injured and not able to work. I also know what it is like to have to work from your home. I am sorry I do not have any ideas about home jobs. I am looking for some of those myself. I just wanted to wish you luck and give you some inspiration that things will look up soon. Stay warm.

If I gave you this before then I am sorry. I know I gave it to someone on here but I can't remember who. But anyways, I got this link from another mylotter. I have not really checked it out yet, so I don't know if you will find anything to help you. I'm crossing my fingers. http://www.pcworkathome.net/

Also if you are able, to help stay warm tonight...bake something in the oven or dry some clothes in the dryer( I unhook the vent so it is inside, just put a stocking over the end to catch the lint). Thats what I do when we run out of propane. Also keep doors shut that aren't in use. Put blankets up on the doors to help with drafts. I put blankets up in the hallway too as it is easier to keep a smaller area warm. Good luck.

I believe I may be able to help some here. I understand your situation and thats the reason I went digging into valid work at home options. Now, you did not specify whether you can work on the phone so I will include some things about working customer service/sales on the phone. If you are able to they are usually the best money available. I myself am not able to due to being at home with 3 small children. If you are able to be on the phone check out www.liveops.com and www.workathomeagent.com , both are legit companies that do PAY, as we have worked for them before. What I currently do is mostly work Chacha, a people powered search engine. I make usually somewhere around $20 a day on it if I'm able to work it hard. Between that, here, and doing some work on Amazon's Mechanical Turk ( a place to do things computers can't do as well as we can) I keep pretty much busy whenever I have time to. Some great forums to check out for other ideas or chat are www.wahm.com (even if you're not a mother) and www.wahjforreal.com which has a great job list and feedback. If you have any other questions, or would like a Chacha invite (US only, I'm sorry I didn't look before responding) let me know.

I forgot to also mention I sell books on ebay. If you have a cheap source (25 cents or under per book, check thrift stores etc) than it might be worth your while. I also buy used books cheaply and sell them at my local Hastings and another local book store.

Sorry to hear of your situation my dear. Well first question before I can help you out is.. are you residing in USA? If the answer is yes then I should have a few Work at Home links to pass to you which I can't use as I am from Asia. Drop me an email if you are keen: daryllau@hotmail.com Cheers!

Does your city have a craigslist? Because I've seen (and gotten) jobs on there, both online and little gigs, doing things like putting things together for people and writing stuff. If you like animals, you could pet-sit. When people go on vacation, you can take their dog/cat/fish and take care of it. You can't charge much, but it's not too difficult. I've sold a few things on ebay and on craigslist. I've done reviews for reviewstream.com and gotten to payout twice. (Although I still can't figure out how this site supports itself, so I'm a bit wary of it. But I have been paid over $100 in the past year).

Oh you poor darling. It must be a terrible time for you. All I can htink of are survey sites but they don't pay much. I don't know of any work at home sites that haven't proven to be scams. MyLot is great, but not enough to support a family on. I just wanted to bump up your discussion for you, I hope someone can help you. Am sending you some warming thoughts from Australia where it's summer right now.

Another idea: a lot of people have set up businesses as eBay agents. They handle the listings, photos, etc. for people who want to sell stuff, and keep part of the winning bid amount (usually 50%). A number of people in my town have become agents, selling things for people who either don't have the time to sell stuff on eBay themselves or don't want to bother.

Here are a couple of recent discussions about legit online jobs, one is about at-home call=center jobs, which I've seen mentioned in a number of magazines. Maybe they'll be helpful--they definitely pay more than Mylot! http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/755556.aspx http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/755582.aspx

I am really sorry to hear of your situation and let me first say that I do hope that you and your family will be safe and you should consider possibly staying in a shelter to keep warm! Also, make sure you contact your local church and even the company that provides oil to you to see if they can assist you in hard times. Alot of times they will help out. I already saw that one lady posted things about chacha.com and also some telecomutting jobs like liveops and westathome. Those are all good things to do for money. I am currently doing chacha.com and also I am a westathome agent. Both making REAL money from home!

Don't know any jobs online. Try to get a yard sale together you can do it from your home. Sometimes friends and family will donate stuff to help out as well. I have done this to raise extra money for grocery or bills. My sister donated old clothes and things she was going to throw out like nick nacks, fans, toys, dishes. My mom brings her unwanteds on her yearly visit I keep it in storage when money is tight I have a yard sale. Online things are hard to come by. Hope this idea helps.

Dear friend..i have also tried to find some good online jobs..i am still trying to do so. But till now i haven't yet found any reliable site. One of my friend is trying his best to find a reliable online job. Initially he didn't pay anything for that. But after applying for that some cd's were sent in return to him which gave him some more details about what to do.It was this time when he had to pay Rs 1300. Every three days they send him an email and help him advance to the next level. My friend says that this is not a scam. But i will be sure about it when he will be paid. sorry i forgot to say what he is doing. U must have heard about e-checkers.If you think it's reliable then try for it.

Phone emergency welfare workers perhaps you may qualify within your area and explain the situation, perhaps you will qualify based on your husband's monthly earnings and your expenses. Me too, I have to pay for the heating bill, I am the sole earner. My husband has not been working except he will starting work overseas but not just yet. It gets depressing looking for work on the internet. It has been like this for one year for me now.
