Alright Say You Have A Child That Has A Hard Time Going To Sleep At Night, He/She Cannot Lay Still Long Enough To Fall Asleep, So The Child Is Constantly Up And Down And Moving Around For A 3 Hours, So By The Time He Actually Settles Down And Falls Asleep Its 1 o'clock In The Morning. What Would You Try And Do To Help The Child Get A Good Night Sleep?

I babysit a child that has this very problem (he's about 3 3/4). I give him a bath about half an hour before bed time. I give him a little bit of milk and try to read him a story (though he rarely listens), then I turn out the light. Every time he gets back up, I carry him back to bed and tuck him and tell him that he can play if he wants but he has to do so in the dark and in his bed. It doesn't work miracles, but if I can get him to just stay in his bed, he'll go to sleep eventually.
