Jelly omlet

My husband loves to eat these. I don't. Perhaps you would like to try one and give me your opinion. Just scramble up an egg omlete, and add your favorite jelly or jam to it and cook it.

I used to cook this for my younger siblings way back when, and they loved it. I had a big family so every one liked different things, but this one seemed to be popular among the guys for some reason.

Wow, my husband will be glad to hear that he isn't the only one that likes them. I laugh at him, as I never heard of it, and thought he was nuts. So he made me post this. Thanks for telling me about your family. Blessings, M&M

well I have never cook jelly with my egg, but when I cook a bacon and egg sanwhich or Sausage Sanwhich, I usually add jelly on the the toast.

I'll take the jelly on the toast too, but my hubby from the "Bronx" has to have it in his egg. Yuk!!!

You know, when I was a kid, I remember putting grape jelly on my scrambled eggs. But now, I really can't even think of doing that lol. I do like ketchup or salsa on my eggs sometimes. But I outgrew the jelly thing :)

I'm with you, ketchup or salsa. My hubby likes the jam.

I don't mind the jam on cheese but the thoughts of it in an omelette sounds disgusting. Maybe it is because I have just eaten breakfast and I am not hungry. I might give it a sneaky try when there is nobody in the house so that I can discard it if I don't like it.

You said that right. I think it is so gross. He said that I should post this, because other people out there would like it. I said, "no way." I'm right so far.

These are a big favorite in France. Thanks, I love them with either orange marmalade or strawberry but not a jelly it must have chunks of the fruit in it. Yum!

Really? I thought that my husband was crazy to eat and love such a thing. I never heard of it. He made me post this, to see if anyone out there was like him. Not too many. Just you and below you. I'll be sure to make them with the orange marmalade and strawberry for him. I don't think that I will eat them though. Doesn't sit right for my tastes. Thanks so much for sharing this with me. Blessings, M&M

I´ve never tried jam on scrambled eggs before, but been as I love jam I gave it a try. Hmmm, I loved it, my husband turned away in disgust. So there you go, I´m not from the bronx but I really enjoyed it. My daughter quite liked it even though she agreed with her father when he said that it was a rather weird mixture. Thanks for your receipe. Have a nice day.

I don't think I'll even give this a try. I don't like the ideas of anything other than savoury omelettes (like adding cheese or ham or tomato) Sorry Marggie.

Well I think I'm going to pass on this one too. I do like to take two pieces of toast with jelly and put them together with a fried egg in the middle... does that sound any better??

I love omlets, to a degree. I don't know about a jelly omlet. Now a pizza omlet, that sounds good. Never have made one though.
