tried posting this yesterday but it didn't go through. I've been going through my cd collection to see which one I no longer want, problem is several are scratched and keep skipping when I try to play them. I've seen several ways and products that are suposed to fix this, can anyone recomend ones that actually work?

hi,i dont know about any product meant specifically for fixing scratched cds but i do know that, white & minty toothpastes work miracles when applied $ wiped in a circular motion with a clean cloth.why dont you try it $ see if it works.

just been going through my unresolved posts and found this one again - I've since tried this and it works unless the cd's too badly/deeply scratched.

The disc cleaner from walmart or your local grocery store really works, there like 40 dollars but they get the scratches right out. There also very good for playstation games and DVD's as well, hope this helped.

I think that once cd's are scratch they are totally ireperable and that theonly thing to do about it is to transfer those good part or contents in those good part and have it burn on another cd. greetings. : )

You can get some very good cd cleaning clothes, these generally are the anti-static type and I've found them to be very good. Hope this helps
