What would you do if you your co-worker had so much facial hair that SHE looked

like MUGSEY WOOLEY? My co-worker's facial hair is straw-like visually. It seems to be straw-like in texture and in color, dry and stiff. It frames her mouth and hangs off her chin. You know she knows what she looks like. I choose to do nothing and not get too close. But what would you do?

She could have a disease called poly cystic ovarian disease as excessive facial hair growth is one of the symptoms. It seems I hear a lot of this affliction these days, must be another disease of the times.

Yes she is without a doubt certainly aware of the problem with her facial hair. But often times there is very little that one can do with it if you are a woman. Sure you can wax it, but imagine for a minute what that would feel like. Second she could tweeze it out for hours, and have it grow right back in the next day, except now she would have red bumps that are ingrown hairs. Or she could shave it like a man, and have the hairs begin to appear darker and courser, and lose all sense of being a woman. It is an embarssing problem for a woman to have, because it's never ending. And oh yeah, surgery is expensive, and NOT covered by insurance, and often times refused because of the sensitive skin and the chances for scaring.

KARA You and MODESTA have given me some great insight that I was not aware of. I appreciate that you three responders took the time to enlighten me. I have a friend who saw her RATHER LONGISH fur in a close-up mirror and was mortified at one particularly long hair-One hair is embarrassing and I need to have more compassion. Sometimes I have too much and sometimes not enought.. So thanks! It's great when I can learn something from people I don't know...

Well same was the situation with one of my juniors at school and she was my neighbor as well, but sometimes I used to think to tell her some remedy but I often kept quite in order not to hurt her sentiments.

Well, you know they have to know what they look like. We have mirrors and she surely touches her furry face, right? It wouldn't do any good to say anything. The furballs already know they have fur..

I wouldnt do anything either. Especially if you know she knows what she looks like. Maybe she thinks that is the latest fashion trend. At least it looks like straw and not like fur...Fur would be bad. I hope that you dont have to look at her a lot.

HAHAHAHAHAH too funny. She has to know what she looks like. That is assuming that she looks at herself in a mirror. If I see one wild hair on my face the tweezers come out. Her's is well manicured...but ghastly.

I shudder as I write this, thinking about the facial hair. I hate it when someone behind a shop counter has it and they are talking to you and you try not to look at it but you just cant help it, and you cant wait to just look away. They must know it's there so I think you should leave some wax kits laying around and tweezers and maybe she'll get the hint!

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I know what it's like to try not to look at someone. hahaha I choose not to say anything or do anything but grumble.. If she were a friend I would say something-very politely-but nah...I'll keep quiet to her. Thanks for responding.
