Today is the second day in a row the high school has been locked down here because of gangs and gothics making death threats to each other. Every law in town was at the school today trying to resolve this but did you know that during a lock down you can not get your children out of there. This scares me and makes me so mad. I will not send my kids to this school no matter what even if it means getting in trouble with the law myself! Are you tired of this whole school violence thing?

Violence and threats in the schools seems to have become more of a common thing over the years. I can't say that I blame you for not wanting to send you kids there. I completed many of my highschool credits online due to health reasons and actually found that I was learning a lot more and getting better marks anyways (something for you to consider). Just because your kid doesn't attend a school setting doesn't been that they can't be social...there are activities and such for them to do after school and on weekends.

No i dont want them to become nonsocial that is one of my biggest concerns about not sending them back to school. I will still keep them interested in activities and encourage them to keep good friends.

Sounds crazy lisa. My school was like this in away. There would be at least two to three full on fights before home time and normally it either involved whole year groups or two different gangs. It's all lame. Goodluck with getting your kids back into highschool. Mine got knocked down because of this and the fact yobs was starting fire to different building like the dinner hall! ~Joey

I don't have one there yet Joey. My oldest one quit last year in the 10th but has his GED and my other two will be due to go there next year. I am seriously not going to send them. I will home school them. I just can't face sending them somewhere so unsafe.

I am tired of all the school voilence as well. I wish these kids didn't have to feel like they have to prove something with a bad attitude. My son goes to a bad school that has alot of voilence as well. I fear ever day he goes to school that something will happen to him.

children are everything to us and to take proper care is responsibility of the school and law enforcing department also but of late the law enforcer reach the site after the crime is committed hence your action is fully justified
