Would you drive to save?

Would you drive an eco/environmentally friendly car just to save the environment? Reports have been released pointing to our cars being one of the greatest influences on greenhouse gases. Would you buy like a cheap, little Prius? Or would you buy a hydrogen/cell model if they offered it as a variant in say; a Honda, BMW 7 series or other car? What do you think of these people driving a Prius? Do you think they are just doing their bit for the environment? Or are willing to make a statement or impress people?

I would buy an envronmentally friendly car. With the way the world is going these days, we need them. I don't really care what a car looks like as long as it gets me to where I am going and back again. I never did see the need to buy new cars every year. Get rid of those gas guzzlers. I never heard of a Prius so I can't say if I would buy one or not. I'm all for saving the planet, so whatever I can do, I will do.

Yes, I think I would certainly help to save the environment. It is a trend to buy motorbikes when we start our junior college. But I was (and still am, but to a lesser degree) very eco consciuos. So I bought a new cycle instead of a motorbike. I think that was one of the best things i have done in my life so far. Also two of my friends did the same, so i think i would do the same again if i could.

Ofcourse I would like to drive an environment friendly car. If we can afford it we will think about it when we are going to buy our next car. We need more and more of those cars in our society. We all know how bad affects we are experiencing because of globalwarming. I will not say somebody is driving that kind of car to impress people. We should encourage people to buy those cars.

I would buy an environmentally friendly car... Not only would it be helping out the environment, but environmentally friendly cars are usually cheaper to buy and cheaper to maintain than regular cars.

If I had a drivers licence and I drove I would..drive an environmentally friendly car. I however like to walk as much as I can. When I am in town, I like to use the city bus, and carpool with a relative on the way into town and back... .. I also would take the train, or bus, or walk, and I have thought of buying and electric scooter I would plug in as being my first vehcile - DNatureofDTrain

Actually, I'm hoping my next car purchase will be a hybrid SUV. Unfortunately I can't drive a really little car as I have to haul around stuff both for my scrapbooking business and for the animal rescue. Bales of hay and big cages just won't fit! But I'm glad to see that some of the car manufacturers are now making the smaller SUVs as hybrids. You can bet that'll be the first thing I look for next time I buy!

I probably would. Judging from what's happening to our environment today... aren't you alarmed at the rate the world seems to be deteriorating? I mean, aren't the radical climate changes not enough of a warning?
