The Cook's Thesaurus is a cooking encyclopedia that covers thousands of ingredients and kitchen tools. Entries include pictures, descriptions, synonyms, pronunciations, and suggested substitutions. Categories Vegetables - includes roots, tubers, leafy greens, squash, and sea vegetables. Fruits - includes berries, citrus fruit, melons, tropical fruit, and tomatoes. Dairy - includes milk, cream, cheese, eggs, and cultured milk products Flavorings - includes sweeteners, herbs, spices, chocolate, and extracts. Liquids - includes alcoholic beverages, stocks, juices, and vinegar. Grains Grain Products - includes flour, noodles, and dough. Baked Goods - includes breads, cookies, crackers, and crumbs. Legumes & Nuts - includes peas, lentils, beans, nuts, and nut butters. Its certainly a great site, Ive used both this and this wikipedia site tonight to help people with food conversions (ie AU to US) I highly reccommend these two sites to anyone looking for food explanations or conversions or substitues etc....
