Getting people to type in exact keywords or phrases

After you find out your ranking in the search engines how do you get people that are looking for what you have to offer, to type your keywords or phrases into the search engines.

our job is to find out what keywords and phrases people are already searching for and create content on your web site

You don't. Your job is to find out what keywords and phrases people are already searching for and create content on your web site that contains those words and phrases.
It must be valid content, too, because if you misuse phrases or keywords, search engines will spit you out.
