There is a movie called "La Carrera Panamericana" about a Mexican cross-country car race that has the music of Pink Floyd in the background. As an interesting bonus, two of the cars raced where driven by Mason and by Gilmour.

In the movie Lords of Dogtown, the band Social Distortion plays a wonderful cover to "Wish You Were Here" at the end of the film.

I have heard some news stations play "on the run" in the background of their traffic reports.

You guys forgot about a good one- 1970s "Zabriskie Point". the film score seen at least three of Floyd's previously unreleased tracks that i know of, including 'Crumbling Land', Heartbeat Pigmeat, and a redo of Careful with That Axe- 'Come In No. 51 Your Time Is Up'. For those of you fans who have yet to discover this, its a great new treat to check out from the band.

there's a seventies surf film called Chrystal Voyager that has a whole sequence of the waves set to Echoes, with no other sound or voiceover. Just watched part of it on youtube (search for Echoes Voyager), very chilled, slowmotion footage. (I'm surprised nobodies mentioned the supposed Wizard Of Oz/2001 etc. syncs)
