Have you seen a real bear? is it scary?

Blacks bears are smaller & don't seem all that dangerous. Their often as scared of you as you are of them. They were common in Montana where I stayed for a while. You'd find them digging through your trash or eating your garden. Browns & Grizzleys are a different matter. They look feroscious & can back it up, they know it.

I have seen a real bear. It came into the back room of a cafeteria or restaurant we were eating at at Nelson, British Columbia in Canada. The cook or owner shooed it out. It was an old mother bear. Most of the bears we have seen have been in the zoo enclosure, and they were usually sleeping or from a distance from a ship and we had to rely on the tourist's guides information as to whether it was a bear or not. You would not want them close to you and you better not try to pet a cub because the mother bear will get right at you.

I saved a bear from being shot by a friend of mine once. I just couldn't stand to have a bear killed in front of me, and I nearly got myself shot getting in the way, idiot that I am. I love bears. They are beautiful creatures. I have had the good fortune to see them in the wild many times. I am told by others that they are scary, but for some reason "wild" animals tend to like me more than "domesticated" animals do, so I've never had to be afraid of them.

I've seen a baby bear alone at my my garage in the past. the bear was going though the trash. I was a little scared my brother brought me outside to see it and when he saw us he ran the direction behind him and not toward us, I was very glad about that. My brother on the other hand wasn't scared and told me not to, he said "He's just a baby, and he just wants the trash". I was trying to be calm but I was glad when the bear left then we went inside. I am glad I went outside to see the bear,cause I can saw yes I have seen a bear, It was a black bear.

Hello gigarange. I did saw a real bear but, it was in a zoo. I didn't find it scary because it is locked in a cage.

Me too, I have never seen a bear in reality too, I like the bear without any reason, or maybe bear gives me the feeling of security, but maybe in reality, it will be quite different, anyway, I think if you have no intension to hurt them, they will not hurt you either.

Well I've seen one at an animal safari where we drove through it. The bears came right up to our car. In fact one put his face right against the window and startled my mother because she didn't see him come over. They were used to people being around so they weren't that dangerous. Not sure what I'd do if I saw one in the wild though.
