I loved to play Red Rover, and any kind of tag. I always loved the circle game 'Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar. I learned it at 6-7 years old and have remembered it always.I HATED dodge ball! At home with only a few people our favorite was always hide-n-seek. What are your most and least favorite games from your past? Have any got any funny stories to share?

Our neighborhood use to play "Chain" forming game a lot. Here the runner would run and catch hold of its victim - which - who would hold hands witht the runner and continue to catch the remaining ones till only the last one is left. \We would be atleast 10-11 children then. It use to be a site when 8-9 of us would join hands and run behind 1-2 of them. The chain would be lead in different directions and we would break it and fall down and scream and shout as to which way we should move unitedly. what fun days they were

We play this at scouts sometimes. Only we call it octopus tag. We also play amoeba tag, the same only you can split into smaller groups of two or more each.

We played a version of tag in our neighborhood that we called "Big Bad Wolf", but my neighborhood is the only place I ever have encountered this game. We would play for hours.

Lololol the only Thing that I used to enjoy was either climbing the trees, sorting my little Brother out by giving him a kick up his butt as he was always getting me into trouble or Skipping. But my Favourite Pass time was Rollerskating I used to love that.

I never got in trouble for climbing trees but did not spend much time in them either. I feel that if she is not in front of the TV or the playstation, she is better off.

These sound like the things my daughter loves! If I can not find her I know she is in a tree.LOL She has almost destroyed one in the front as it is her favorite and she spends lots of time there, but I do not mind if she is having fun, I do not care about a few broken limbs or scraped bark. +

I also liked kick ball for team type sport - but I also liked individual or duo games like jacks, pick up sticks, jumprope

Oh Tammy I used to love the "Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?" too, we had so much fun playing that when we were kids. I was in a boarding school for 7 years from the 4th grade through the 10th, and we had 2 hours in the evening to play, read, study etc. We also played Dodge Ball & Truth or Dare. Gosh, those were the days:)

I have never met anyone who knows of this game other than the firl in my troop and they all love it also. /i have a deck or cards that are conversation starters. You draw a card and answer the question on it. Then others may ask you questions, and comment on your reply. It is a lot like mylot I guess! I was going to play it for Valentines Day, but our heat was out and we played moving around games instead. It is a lot like truth or dare except you do not get to dare, you must answer the questions, and I took out the somewhat racy questions so they could not get into things they should not!

There are two. Hide and seek and Train. In trin, I always preferred to take the position of the engine. Getting a chance to be the engine in my child hood was my favourite dream also. My mom used to say even in my dreams I used to say "Phoo... Chuck...chuk..."I owe my gratitude to you for taking me in to nostagia.Thank you.

Your welcome. I think I know of this game. We play a blind hike where everyone is blindfolded, except the leader, (or engine as you say) and they must keep the rest in tow behind them, by giving helpful hints. These are great for team and leadership building.

My most favorite game as a child and I still play it now with my daughter and nieces and nephews is Hide and seek! What a riot this is. I can remember playing it growing up-- we lived in town and we had all the neighbor kids playing- It was so fun-- that was back in the day when parents didn't have to worry so much about us being stolen or hurt.. Be in at dark- : ) We live in the country now-- we play in the dark! Sometimes until 2 in the morning- we have boundaries.. we have a crick that runs out back-- It is so much fun and I love the memories we're making with our kids- I hope they carry on the tradition with their kids. I can't remember any games I didn't like as a kid.. I loved kickball. dodge ball, red rover.. Anything outdoors and with friends.

I loved to skip rope! I never did get the hang of double dutch though!LOL I had a sister so we always had someone toplay with. Kids now a days do not play as we did, they have video games, and cell phones, and all this technology! All it gets them is FAT! What is wrong with a good game of duck, duck goose;skip rope or ring around the rosy?

I used to play doll house with my sister. We will re-arrange our parent's room like it is our real house and starting acting like we're adult. With my brother, our games are a little rough. We will play wrestling, karate and boxing. LOL...its a good thing I didn't broke any of my arms and legs. Considering that I'm smaller than they are. Obviously, my favorite games are the one I played with my sister.

Sounds like you had lots of fun with your sister and brother. Maybe not so much your brother, but they are the times we always remember. I never got to go in my parents room much, but it sounds like fun.

I loved duck duck goose and kick ball. I dreaded dodge ball. I can still remember how the ball would sting when some of the kids threw it.

That is why i do not like dodge ball! I hadn't thought about Duck, Duck Goose! I loved playing that, but doubt I could 'duck' very long! I would have to be the one that picks the goose!

I liked playing with all the neighborhood kids, just about any game. I had a bag swing in my yard and we spent a lot of time on it. I liked hop scotch too. I hated basketball, bacause I couldn't play it well at all.
