Ho do you like this series ? Can anyone explain the love/hate relationship most readers have towards this series ? How could anyone hate the series and go on reading it none-the-less ? Do you think Books after Incubus Dreams are an improvement ?

I've read the whole series, and will continue to do so. I enjoyed the earlier books more, up until book 11, I think. I think many people started reading the series early on, and don't care for the turn recent books have taken, with all the sexuality, etc. While they no longer like the books, they keep reading in the hopes the series will return to the way the early books were written. My theory, anyway.

I've recently read Danse Macabre and I think it is a definite improvement over previous books. Yes, it's full of sexuality, but there is a plot, and it's a very interesting book overall. Now I just have to put my hands on the next books in line :)

I have all 16 books the only two that made me feel as if I was not really happy with them were micah and blood noir they felt more of filler books to me. Just a little more of a background story.

I have not read these yet, but I do plan to read them as soon as I can. With all the reading I have to do for school any free reading is out of the question for a while. I will let you know how I like them once I have had time to read them. I love anything that has vampires.

there seems to be a fairly even split in the readers. there's the prudish ones, and the ones like me that positively revel in the vamp smut. the scene in the bath in The Killing Dance was just lovely.
