My friend daughter is 18 years old. she is smart reliable and mature. She is still not allowed to make decision for herself. For example she want to go to a certain college in state but her mother want her to go to college out of state, The young lady is definately going to get scolarship, she has a 4.0 average and is taking AP and honor classes, plus she has a job. Do you think that the mother should back off and let her daughter decide which college she want to attend, do you think it is time for her daughter to make her own decision.

yes dear i think its the time for her daughter to make decisions...coz she is now going to enter a life where she has to make some decisions by her own.

i do think that the mother should back right off, let the girl make her own decisions, she sounds like a great girl, and her mother should not interfear. she needs to get out and make her own decisions, and heck, if she falls and makes a mistake, then yeah her mom can say i told you so or whatever the heck she wants to say, but i think she should leave her daughter to her own, let her live her life and stay out of it.
