Do you find that sometimes people misunderstand your intention when communicating your ideas on here?
Are we in violation of mylot rules if someone misunderstands our intentions? I recieved an alert stating something about reputations on this site .. does anyone know what thats about? I'm still confused about it .... and I have read all the rules and tried to bring up subjects that maybe people would like to respond to and things I myself feel interested in. In so doing I hoped it would spur some discussion and help me get different perspectives ... Have I done something wrong?

I don't think you've done anything wrong. That was a general "alert" everyone got, because the system that calculates people's reputations (you know, the stars?) was not working properly.
But misunderstandings do seem to happen. I wrote a discussion a couple of days ago that was taken down because someone else who read it (I think) felt like it was close enough to one of their discussions that it was "copying." So it got reported, and deleted. I didn't even know the person, but was told by someone on my friends list.
