For those out that have gone to college, what do you think is better- online college or real college? I'm doing online college rght now for computer graphics and I have a lot of people tell me that once I graduate and try to find a job, it'll be harder for me jus because I graduated from a online college. What do you think?

I think, as long as the qualifications are the same, it doesn't make a difference how you have learnt. I've done both real college and online college courses. I actually preferred real college because I had no other distractions as I do at home! I also liked being able to learn with other people. I think if you are good with managing your time and aren't easily distracted then online college is just as good, maybe better, than real college because it means you can fit a lot more around it as you're doing it in your own time. The only reason I want to do online courses at the minute is because I have young children at home so it's simply not practical or possible for me to attend real college, as well as the fact that my nearest college doesn't do anything I'm interested in! I think if I had the choice, I would definitely prefer real college but I don't think the way you learn would affect the chances of getting a job, except maybe that as you have learnt online, it may be an advantage because it gives you extra computer skills.

there are lots of things you're gonna learn that are not written on a book. I did take some course online. and mostly they are all about fact, they are some technique. real college will teach you how to handle yourself in a society. You can also gets lots of tips from your co-student. the expirence you'll have in a real college i belive can not be find on online. and of course you'll have contacts. and extra culicular activities that make life fun to live

For me I would have to say I enjoy the freedoms of online schooling. I can do my work whenever I have time and can slack off when I know I'm getting ahead. As for not being able to get a job becuase you attended an online program instead I really wouldn't put too much weight in that. I believe and know from experiance employers just want to see that peice of paper and they have never asked me if it was online or in a classroom.
