How often do you replace your dishwashing sponge? Studies show that this is one of the best place of reproduction of microbes and bacteria. A team of Engineering Researchers at the University of Florida found out that two minutes of microwaving on full powered killed or inactivate more than 99 % of bacteria and viruses and parasites as well as spores on kitchen sponge.. Any other measure you can recommend?

I only replace my kitchen sponge once it starts to rip, stink, or the brackets that hold it in to the wand.
