When Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake broke up Cameron hied to Hawaii. I have just seen the newly single Drew Barrymore frolicking in a Hawaii beach as well. I personally, when I am sad immediately go to the mall to shop. So do you think money can ease the pain of broken hearts?

Of course not. Money can only help forgot your wounded heart but still by the end of the day to have to face the real thing and suffer.

Material things can ease the pain of anything its a temporary high ,like eating chocolate. In the end I think you will find that the problem is still there not to mention your pockets are empty adding more to the burden if you are not rich . Its easy to say to deal with it head on but very hard to do a broken heart no matter who has caused it takes a long time to mend. Then there is the rebound relationships which in the end rarely make it. The higher your self esteem the better you can cope with this all. If needed seek some therapy instead of the shopping binges, this will be much more worth your money.

It depend on the situation. But there are cases in which money has really stood as the main factor responsible for the traumatic experience. I think love will do

Depend on what you do with the money, if you only go shopping I think it's only temporarily( based on personal experience). However if you go on holiday...yes definately...you might even find your self nice holiday romance. Just make sure that you don't get involve too much unless you prepare for another round of broken heart..xx

No, I think nothing can ease your pain if you loved that person. I also shop and I didnt feel better by that when I broke with my last ex :). Or may be it is different for women(Im a man)?

Yes for a while it does, at the moment your shopping you tend to forget that you are actually broken hearted, its just a temporary relief unless for example, you were broken hearted and you went to a beach, spending your savings just to relax, then you got to know a cute and nice guy which eventually mends your broken heart! so it becomes a long term medicine as well, depending on how long will you and the beach boy stays together... lol... but the point is.. having money while your broken hearted helps a lot rather than not having money at all and be broken hearted at the same time, at least if you have some cash with you- you can still go out of town to ease your mind... and do enjoyable stuffs...

Shopping and buying things releses endorphins in your brain that counteract depression and sadness. Kind of a funny thing but its true. In any event, for me. if im really sad i feel better when i get something. Or cry alot hehe.
