Why do you keep reading when you need to do other things such as sleeping,

getting ready to go somewhere, or have things that must be done? Is it because you are just procrastinating? Do you do this only sometimes because that particular book is just that good? Do you do this all the time because you NEED to finish the book in just one sitting? Are you addicted to reading, so that you can't seem to help keep reading different things around you?

Once I hit a certain point in a book I don't want to put it down. I'll stay up half the night to finish it even if I have to get up early the next day.

The main time I read is before I go to bed... so occasionally I should be sleeping instead of reading. But for the most part, I read for about half an hour, then go to sleep. So it takes me a while to finish a book, but at least I don't feel like I'm wasting any time. I used to read a lot more during the day, but I'm just involved in too many activities to be able to do that now.

I think one of the reasons I tend to read at night, even when I'm really tired and should go to bed, is because I recognize it as free time. And it's something I love to do, and even though I should be sleeping, I need that little bit of free time to myself. And although I may be tired, I want to have some fun other than sleeping. This isn't very good because the next morning when I'm really tired I always regret it. Lol...

It's an addiction to reading, the fact I hate sleep, and I know I can finish the ook pretty quick. I don't do it all the time. Alot of the time, yes, but not constantly, or else I'd NEVER get anything done. Which I do. So ha. Lol. But yeah..I love reading and writing more than alot else..it's just one of my passions..so it just happens to be what I do alot of the time. Read and write.

I do that all the time and have done that all my life. I'll keep up late into the night reading something that catches my interest. I just can't stop myself reading and if I do I'll only think about what will happen next. I read all the Harry Potter books in a little over a week when I first discovered them more than five years ago, but I haven't read quite so fast since then.

I love to read and there are nights that I just can't put the book I'm reading down until I finish it. I have know to read at traffic lights, sitting in the parking lot before work, and when I get out of bed. It has to be a good book though.
