Correctness in Language

I'm currently in the process of writing an essay on how political correctness, in both spoken and written language, affects our culture. The term "euphemism" comes up often when addressing politically correct speech. For those unfamiliar, an example of a euphemism can be calling anyone with a handicap "disabled" or calling a used car "certified pre-owned." Something that, in essence, makes a "harsh" word sound "soft."

sometimes we use euphemisms to express the profane in a more acceptable form!
