No I do not cover the toilet seat when I use a public toilet. I have heard that there is very little that can be tranmitted from a toilet seat, although it was once believed that there were all sorts of things that could be. I don't think that covering the seat is going to prevent too much anyway. If the bathroom looks too dirty I just wouldn't use it.

I cover the toilet and I try not sit down as well, I don't want to catch anything so I take all precautions to keep me safe.

Heck yea. Covering the toilet seat is a MUST. You dont know whos been there but then again I ask myself. Does covering the toilet seat with toilet paper protect you from getting something??? I dont know but I just do it just in case.

Yup, that is what i do too. Squatting while taking a leak takes a lot of practice. I only put tissue paper if I need to sit down and defecate(winks). But I rarely do that in public toilets.

I sort of squat over the seat so no part of my body is touching the toilet. I find public toilets disgusting and it really makes me wonder how some people can be so dirty.

I want to, but i think not practical. Toilets here in our place always have a long line to wait, so it will only take a long time. What i do is i pee but not letting my butt touch the seat

it's really a great job to keep your butt in the air.

Yeah I do cover the toilet seat with paper towels. It's a public toilet for crying out load and you'll never know if you can catch something like skin disease there.

No I don't, as I don't actually sit on the seat. I hover. I only ever pee in public toilets, I never do business.

When using public toilets, I cover the bowl with tissue before sitting down.

We have around 800 employees in our company, and not all of us have proper toilet etiquette. Some of my co workers pee with the toilet seat down (m#$%@!!) that's why I wipe the toilet seat and cover it with tissue paper. Sometimes I use bond papers.

Great topic. You better believe I do. Most public bathrooms I enter are in truckstops because I'm a trucker myself. Some of the larger truckstop chains try and stay on top of keeping the place clean, but I have to tell you, some places are terrible.

I usally cheak all the available stalls for the cleanest one. Then if needed whipe the seat off. I put loads of TP on the seat and try not to stay in there to long. I like the restrooms that provide the toilet seat covers. I saw once a restroom that offered liquid sanitary soulution for you to use a piece of TP and apply it to the seat. I thought that was weird.

Absolutely. There are too many nasty things you can catch from a public toilet so why take the chance?
