Do you feel that you need Dr. House in your life?

lol Couldn't agree more. I used to know one doctor back then, she is more like Dr House to me. She was very straight forward, never smiled, and always focus. Scary look, but I kind of admire her because at least she was honest and she's very dedicated to what she was doing. When she was a bit 'mean' I just thought probably it was just not her day. But ... maybe it wasn't her day everyday, to begin with. hahaha.

In my opinion I would rather have a doctor that is totally straight forward with me. I hate it when a doctor babies me. Hence why I like House. Although he is arrogant and rude and might be in it for his own agenda you know he will do what it takes to get the job done and will do anything and everything to figure out what is wrong. He is brutally honest which is what I would rather see in a doctor.

you mean he's not real! No just kidding. yeah I would like to have a dr. House I could call on in case something were to happen to me. But there are doctors out there that are some what that good. He make me laugh and that is plenty of cure for me.

I'd just like to tell anyone who doesn't have a doctor who makes them feel completely safe (like House would) to start looking. You deserve a doctor who is straight forward with you and who is tenacious enough to really dig for answers as if your life depends on it. Often it does. Schedule appointments with doctors for consultations. Talk to them. Get a feel for any chemistry between you. A patient-doctor relationship is important and your life can be much better or much worse depending on how good it is. Search for it as diligently as you would search for a proper spouse. You deserve it.

I would love to have a doctor like that! I would laugh and laugh xD When I'm watching house sometimes I've moments that I can't laugh. But it's not just about that, House seems to care more about his patients that so doctors that I know (maybe most of all) which is very frustating because it feels that no one cares. They just want their paycheck in the end of the month.

I would love to have a doctor like House! It would be a lot more fun to go for my annual appointment. None of that wishy washy fake friendly talk.

I would love to have a doctor like House. He is so blunt and right to the point. He makes people see whats really wrong with them. I like when He does clinic duty! Hes A hoot. He would make me feel safe and like everything will be ok.

One thing that strikes me about House, and really any doctor on TV, is there is a sense of urgency. I know that on TV they have to get the whole medical case into one hour (well one TV hour)...but it seems that in general, tests are completed fast, and patients are in general, given more attention by thier physicians. In real life when you are dealing with the medical profesion, things takes forever, and for a patient and their family, that is very stressful. Recently my mother needed a medical procedure, and she was in a lot of pian....however she had to wait 3 week for her operation (she's fine now). But I just thought that was insanely long to wait, especiall to be in pain. I guess House has spoiled me into thinking that things just move faster....so in that way, I would love him to be my doctor...also he is kinda easy on the eyes :-)

I really enjoy watching this show. I think I would like having him as my doctor. He seems to be able to diagnose some of the strangest problems. I was completely blown away by the diagnosis on the little girl who couldn't feel pain. Talk about wow! Sure hope I NEVER get one of those nasty things. :(

I would love a doctor like House. I was in the hospital not too long ago and made a comment that I wished all doctors were like House. Let me tell you, the doctor got sooo mad!! He said the show was totally inaccurate, procedure-wise. Doctors never run their own tests or draw their own blood. That's what phlebotomists (sp?) and lab techs are for. In theory though, all the cases and treatments are possible. I would love to have a doctor as dedicated and knowledgeable as House. From a patient's perspective, you wouldn't know all the drama behind the scenes, but you would get the absolute best treatment possible!
