I must say, I love my yorkie to death and I treat him just as part of my family...I was looking around for a place where he could be housed for the weekend. I admit I had to go check this place out which is about 15 minutes from my home. The place caters to your pets every need, literally like a 5 star hotel with tons of perks. However, the place was too expensive for me for a entire weekend. I ended up having a friend dogsit for me..lol Last year I got my bonus check and just for one day, I took my doggie there, I didn't pay a dramatic amount of money but for one time, I thought it would be nice to just let me doggie get pampered...I admit I was curious also..lol They even have camera's in the room where your dog is just so you can see what he is doing...Amazing huh? Do you have a rather expensive pet resort in your area? Have you ever thought about taking your pet? Do you think they are overdoing it for pets? Here is the link below of the pet resort my dog visited: http://www.oldetownepetresort.com/indexf.html What are your thoughts about this resort after looking to see what they offer?

My animals could care less being in a place like that. The are happy no matter where they are as long as they are being taken care of properly. Well, actually, they would be happiest being with me but if they can't, rather be home where everything is familar for them. When we do, which is rare, go somewhere for the weekend, we have neighbors/friends/family come take care of them.

This is nice, they should have places like this for us humans....LOL.....we just had one open up in our area, not that long ago and it is unbelievable.....me and my g/f went to see it on 'open house' day just to see what they offer......for $150 you dog is pampered well with a room, bed, own hottub and even a security camera to watch them with......for $175 they throw in an hour at the salon, complete with 'dry' and style and a manicure.....now can you imagine?I don't even pamper myself like this and as much as I love my pets, they aren't getting it either.....LOL

I think it's great that they are coming up with new ways of pampering a pet, they sure deserve it. I wish I could afford to take my dog to such a place but I really can't at this time. Besides, I can't say that I know of such a place within my area (I live in Ontario Canada). When we do go away Ike (our dog) gets good treatment from my boyfriend's dad (not a resort but I think he's still happy, hehe).

Yes, and obviously its a big business for the people that own it. There are people who can do that, that have the money. I figured one day wouldn't hurt me so bad, but if anything he missed being home..lol..when I got there he was happy as ever. He's just a spoiled dog but I must say he looked so cute groomed

I don't even know if we have anything like that in our area. I know there is a place that keeps dogs during the day kinda like a daycare for kids but it's a daycare for dogs. I wouldn't take my dog to a pet resort though. For one I don't have the money to do that and I don't really think my dog would care much about it. I treat her good at home and I think that's good enough.

That's very true, its all in what makes you comfortable...Normally I just take my dog to get groomed. But just once I thought it would be cool just to see what goes on...That was really a one time thing..But that place gets alot of business..I was suprised... Thank you for responding

Honestly? I think it's silly. I love my dogs with all my heart, But dogs don't care about this stuff, it's not something they need , or would even remember! i think it's a waste of money

It is very expensive, I will have to say that...The day I took him. He got groomed, got pictures taken, and a cooked meal...I know some people think things of this sort is silly, but you would be amazed at how many people actually take their pets to an establishment as this. I couldn't do it, all the things they offer, I can do at home with him besides the medical attention or grooming him.... thank you for responding
