What is happening to this world?

Does progress bring lack of unity to family and society? Is everyone too busy trying to survive? Are their people that answer phones anymore, or only talking machines? Where is respect, and concern out there for others? What is this road rage issue now? Why so many drugs? So much more crime? Vulgar language on TV? Computers with pornograhy? What is going on? Why?

Times have definitely changed but it's hard to pinpoint an exact time this happened. I guess gradually so it wasn't so noticeable. Years ago you'd see families playing cards and spending time together and now there are too many more distractions. With tv to start with and then computers. I find even with the kids today they don't play outside like we use to. They don't have the imaginations we use to. So they get so bored easily. Life has just become too busy to make time for the important things. You are right you use to be able to call a company and get a live person. I hate the recordings. The one for our cable company is the most annoying. I hate it. We lack so much these days. Respect is a big one. I wish some things would revert back a few decades.

The world is certainly changing. I think that we are losing perspective on what is really important. We are getting to be to materialistic. Familes are drifting apart and nobody seems to notice or even care. I am afriaid taht it has gone too far to change now.

We need to back away from the concept of bigger, better, best. We need to focus on what is more important.....our lives, our families, our faith.

I have been wondering this for the last several years but more so this past year. All sorts of bad things are happening that you would never had thought about many years ago. All sorts of different crimes are being commiitted, various natural disasters, serious case of road rage, war crimes, celebrities gone bad, athletes gone bad and whatever else is currently going on. It is sad what this world has become the last few years and do not see things getting any better with Bush as president and the way our government handles things. It is getting harder to find good jobs as many jobs are going to other countries now.

When you look at all this kind of stuff, you will get depressed and wonder what is wrong with the world. I hope you have a better tomorrow where the sun is shinging through the clouds of gloom and life looks a little bit brighter. You can always find bad things around you, but if it far more advantageous to focus on the good things.

It seems society is definatly taking a turn for the worst lately. It scares me in a lot of ways when I wonder how the world will be as my child grows up, but I guess more than anything it just makes me extremely sad that human beings seem to be less human and just more being.
