Can someone explain these links to me?

I'm sure there is a discussion here on it already, I just can't find it.(I'm at my office and trying to MyLot at the same time.) ;) I've noticed on some responses key words are highlighted and when you click on them it takes you to pictures. Can someone explain this to me, I'm kinda confused. Big surprise there, me confused. LOL
