Volvo 740 Turbo Automatic Transmission

Is there anyone else who drives this model? I have the sedan. I bought it used with 126,000 miles on it a couple of years ago and I love it. It's a 1989, so things are wearing out and I have had to do some work to it, but for the most part it has been a good car. I love it when the Turbo kicks in but I don't like that it eats so much gas.

I love to hear stories about cars that people just drive and drive forever. A good dependable car is hard to find these days.

I know, it's so neat. Especially in these times when people switch to a new car every 4 years. Mine will be 20 years old in a couple of years. It has some minor dents, but otherwise the body is in great condition. I need to grease the retractable antenna, though. It doesn't go up and down very smoothly.

Ya I have a light blue 1985 Volvo 740 Turbo Intercooler. Only 240, 000 kms on her !!! what a beautiful car... truly a legend !!! Gonna take that car to my grave !!!!!!

No way ! I have a '85 Volvo 740 Turbo Turbo as well ! finished in original # 215-2 Herberts-Standox paint. 245,876kms on her! The car is a "beast" still in mint shape ! I'm guessing you have the cloth dark blue interior with white pin stripes and the off white interior headliner? She still has the rare original Volvo 15" "Nova" rims on her aswell.
