Why did you buy ...

Why did you buy your car in the color that you chose? Was it by choice? Was it because it was your favorite color? Was it because that color doesn't loose its sheen as quickly? Why did you buy it in that color?

My first new car was a toyota. I picked midnight blue because I thought it looked so beautiful sparkling in the sun. My cousin had just bought one and she was getting red which I wanted but didn't want to have the same car. Besides she was having to wait 2 weeks for a red one. I drove the car to my friends house where we all usually hung out. About an hour after arriving my cousin called saying she got her car and was coming over. Next thing you know she pulls up in a midnight blue toyota...lol She had decided she didn't want to wait...hehe The only difference was mine was a hatchback and hers was not. The color stayed nice and shiny until 1 month before I paid it off and it was totalled by a 13 year old that stole his parents car and ran a red light crashing into me broadside. Thankfully no one was hurt but the car was uninsured and his parents both unemployed..it was a mess.

I ordered my car in a metallic grey that is just awesome. I saw it on the lot on a sunny day, and the color looked grey in some lights, but also seemed to be a blue-grey and even very dark grey in others. It is like a chameleon changing colors in different lights, and I absolutely love it. The salesman also had me wipe a cloth over the car and it was actually very dirty, but it didn't look it at all, which is another selling point.

I almost always buy a car in white or that light silver color. I choose this color because I live in the country and it doesn't show the dirt as much when I travel all the dirt roads. I LOVE to have a shiny black truck. I found out quickly that with black I had to wash it every time I turned around, sometimes it'd be dirty by the time I got home. White doesn't seem to lose it's sheen either and is easier to repair chips in the paint (also from dirt/gravel roads).

The color I chose for my car was my second choice, but the first choice was not going to be available for delivery for several weeks and I could get the second choice color in just a couple of days. I really wanted my new car sooner rather than later and went for it. It didn't take long of driving this car for me to be very happy I had gone with the second choice color, which is "Burnished Gold." It doesn't show dirt, it always looks cleaner than it is -- and this is particularly great for me because I'm not exactly vigilant about keeping my car clean! And, it's a classic color that always looks good to me. I love it.

I had a bunch of upgrades that I wanted in our newest vehicle and they only had 1 on the lot that had them all. The color wasn't all that bad and I didn't really feel like waiting 2 weeks to get one in my first choice color.

My first new car was teal (although the registration stated it was metaqllic green) and that's one of my favorite colors. I had lots of options. The new car that I have now is called Desert Sand. It's like a sparkling light brownish color. I chose it because it was part of this huge deal the dealership was running - you had to get something off the lot or their other lot. I decided on that make and model so it was either the color I have now or like a powder-puff blue - it looked like an old lady car, so I went with the color I have now. I really wanted this awesome sports car, but it ws too low to the ground and wouldn't be good for my back.

My SUV is red, and yes, I like that color for a car. I didn't choose it, it chose me! Red was the color that the dealership had in stock.

Actually I did not get to choose the color. We found the car, an older model Jaguar, on ebay and loved it, color and all, and bought it. If I were to choose a color, I think I would choose black, b/c it is elegant on a car, white and pearly white are pretty too. A lot of pretty blues out there too. See, I can't choose, I have to just see one and if I like it, then it's the one for me.

What an easy question, the van was on clearance and I could afford it..cash..no loan. I loved everything about it, especially the no loan part. I had scrimped and saved and I did not need a load. Did I mention that I bought it cause I would not have a car payment. That was pretty much the bottom line.

My husband bought my SUV - used - as a surprise. I love the model and make but I hate the color. It was the only choice the dealer had, apparently. I have a "Teal" colored Expedition. Would not have been my choice in color - I would have preferred something more metallic like a champange color or silver. A color that doesn't show dirt that much. The teal is a metallic but I just do not like those types of colors when it comes to my cars. The only bright spot about it is that Teal, Black & White are my son's school colors so when I got to games, matches or meets - I look like I'm supporting his team. *LOL* I'm hoping to get a newer model next year and I've already warned my husband about the color choices he needs to stay away from - Teal is at the top of the list. :]

The car I have now is white and I really do not like white cars! But, my other car was dying very quickly and I HAD to find something...a friend of my mom's was selling this one for just $1000 so I snatched it up. LOL

I bought a light blue Ford Aerostar, and loved it for the way it ran and all, but the color, i did not really care on the color, i never have with any of the vehicles that I bought, lol. Color i guess is not as important as how it runs and operates and gas mileage too lol never considered the color, good question made me realize that thanks!

My truck (Tacoma) is white, because I didn't have enough money for a black Tacoma that was two years newer. I LOVE black vehicles though, and I prefer any vehicle I get or will eventually get, to be black, except for certain cars that look better in red (Ferrari) or silver (some smaller Benz and Bimmer models).
