all three of these go together but cause such hot debate. why does one choose one religion over another, why is theirs the "one and only true religion", why is it people feel the need to judge others because their beliefs differ from their own. my take on religion. it can be a wonderful thing, it can be a horrible thing. if it is used to put down people, control them, degrade, fight, judge...then of course i don't agree with it. but i don't blame the religion but rather the people that are practicing. these people have misconceptions about their own religion because i don't believe any religion was created for these ends. i feel that religion can be a wonderful way for someone to express their beliefs and show their love for a higher power. i will not call this higher power by any name because i am not pinpointing any one religion or belief system. i think religions are often used to separate people when they were created to bring them together.

Yes i agree with you....they say one of the topics to be avoided in order to prevent arguments is religion (aside from politics of course), there's a certain religion that i really dont like because people who belong in this type of religion are requiring to give 10% of their income for their church..not only that, they judge all of the rest of other religions badly.. they say that if you do not belong to their religion you will not go to heaven afterlife.... of course i dont agree with them.... that's why as much as possible i avoid discussing those topics to avoid such arguments....

there are alot of individual religions that claim to be the only way to the highway so to speak, not so sorry to say i completely disagree with that mentality. lol tho unlike you i don't avoid these discussions because i love other peoples opinions and one of my hobbies is to study different religions and their belief systems.
