I will never do that? And you ended up doing the exact thing you said you would never do. Isn't it something that all of us usually end up doing the very thing we said we would never do? When I was growing up I said I would never drink. Well I did start drinking in my late 20's, but thank God I don't now. It was ruining my life.

Yeah.. I call it putting my foot on my mouth, or eating humble pie. -_-" It's almost like a curse.. I would say, "Fat chance I would do that!" and a minute later I'm doing it! I'm glad you have quit drinking.^^

I've also said that I would never drink, smoke or get a divorce...I drink, I smoke, and I've been married 3 times as well. It's strange because we believe we're strong enough at the time we say, 'I'll never do that', and of course, at the time, we are; but then life steps in along the way and things get 'ify'. For sure, I will never say, "I will never to that", (yeah, right) again...lol

Yes this has happened to me so many times in my life I can't count them. I was told many times to never say never, but I still do and you can bet when I do those are the very things I end up doing.

Yes, I also said that I would never get a divorce. Of course, in my defense, I did try to keep the marriage together. Wasn't in my power though. I've been a single mom for 5 years now and have added a lot of "I said I would never do that" thingys. Ah yes, it seems that the Lord has much mercy on me.

Just goes to show that you should never say "never". In the last few years... everytime I am about to say "never"... I think twice about it... and decide not to use the word in my conversations. It saves me the trouble of having someone come along in a year time to remind me that I had said "I would never do that again". Saying "Never" is like those New Year resolutions that no-one keeps. There are certain things that you will never do again because you have been badly hurt. But there are other things that will make you change your mind because the circonstances are different.

Oh yes, I said I would never get divorced. Understand by the time I was thinking of marriage in my future my parents were both on their 3rd marriages. I've now done it 3 times :( and almost a 4th - Praise the Lord I found out what he was really like before we walked down the isle. I'm going on 15 years now being single Mom and although I would concider marrying again there is not a lot of chance of it happening as my requirements are a mile long - I don't say I'm picky, just particular!
