Earth - global warming

If carbon dioxide makes up only a minute portion of the atmosphere, how can global warming be traced to it? And how can such a tiny amount of change produce such large effects?

Earth Is Heating UP!!! - Earth is heating up...
I think thats becoz it xpands very fast and also it is not spread all over the world. It is only accumulating over the regions with high emission of this gas. And due to that, it is makes holes up in the Ozone layer, which is now allowing UV rays to reach earth, which are really very harmful, and can cause skin cancer. But the heating effect is mainly becoz it spreads very fast.

This is completely wrong - LOL - it does not burn a hole in the Ozone layer - and the increase of atmospheric CO2 will be the same worldwide even though some industrialised regions are producing more than less industrialized regions for example.

The hole in the ozon was reportly caused by flouro carbons and they wanted to ban them world wide. However the hole was closes and not a problem once several Science groups received government money to study the problem. Interestingly was that the ozon hole over the Antiartic was larger during the winter when there was very limited sun light and closed during the summer.

Carbon is just one of the ozone gases that make up our atmosphere. It IS linked to global temperature, but I don't think it's in the way that the scaremongers predict. Is it not equally plausible that glabal warming is driving co2 levels up, rather than vice versa? The carbon cycle of the earth is an extremely slow process. The effects of which take literally hundreds of years to change, even to a small degree. The governments and scientists are scaring the populace by attributing this geological process to our activities. The fact is that they are measuring an atmospheric component that has been wavering up and down for milleniae and trying to make comparisons year-on-year. Due to political and economic reasons, the equally qualified scientists speaking out against climate change being attributed to humans have been successfully silenced. Note the following two statements: 1. Humans are changing the environment and destroying the world with carbon emissions. Millions will die when the atlantic conveyor shuts down. 2. The earths temperature is constantly changing, it goes through warmer and cooler periods over centuries and milleniae. The cause of this effect is cosmic and solar radiation, which is completely beyond any form of human control. You tell me which will grab more column inches in the tabloids!

Of course it mean something if the portion triples...

Think... If a hormone makes up only a minute proportion of the all proteins in the blood, how can any physiological effect be traced to it? Quantity and activity are two different things. As simple as that.
