If you don't have the time to make a pot of sauce, which is your favorite jar sauce? I like Ragu, how about you?

Never buy the jar stuff. We grow tomatoes in summer. In the fall, we can sauce - lots and lots of sauce. :) Nothing is better than the homemade. Makes everything taste better.

i alway make my own sauce good thing i dont use any meat to cooked sauce just tofu and other herb thats why its easy to cook maybe it will just take me thirty minutes to cook a sauce. there are lots of available insntant speghetty sause here but i dont really like them cause it has a lot of preservatives.

I grow my tomatoes, peppers, onions, basil, bay leaves and make my own sauce in the fall to freeze for future use. IF I happen to run out b4 I can make more, I prefer the Ragu over any other sauce. Even then, still have to doctor it up enough for my family to like it.

No jar brand can beat homemade but found that Ragu comes the closest. I always try to make sure I have enough sauce put up to last at least a year. Sometimes doesn't work out that way cause neighbors/family/friends tend to come to me for sauce when they run out of their homemade sauce. lol

If i dont want to put in the time to make my own sause, i use prego made with mushrooms and garlic, i add in a bay leaf or two, some basil and oregano and a tablespoon of sugar, mix a bit of parmisan cheese on top and serve over noodles. People can bearly tell the difference between my home made and the prebottled ones lol.

I've never made my own sauce. Is that sad or what! LOL. I usually buy Aunt Millie's sauce. Although lately my regular supermarket hasn't been carrying it and I've had to substitute with something else. I've tried a few different brands.

Aunt Millie's is pretty good, I've had it. Come to think of it I've tasted almost all of them. I've never tried Paul Newmans sauce though. Have you tried his sauce?

No I haven't tried Paul Newmans sauce. Today I went food shopping and my favorite supermarket didn't have Aunt Millies again, so this time I bought Francesco Rinaldi meat flavored. I'm hoping it's good....I am making Lasagna tonight :)

We like Classico when we can find it on sale. But buy Prego or Ragu if we can't find the Classico on sale anywhere and want Pasta Sauce.

Classico is good. I like my own sauce but sometimes you don't have the time to make it and need something fast, I love my Ragu.

I too love my own sause but. I shop at a type of generic store here in Minnesota. They have their own brand that actually is very good. So that's my pick if I can't have my own, "Aldi's House Brand". Happy postings from Grandpa Bob

I love Ragu, which has always been my favorite. When I visit my parents, we make the sauce and the pasta, as my father is Italian and won't use a jar. When I was a teenager, we went back to visit relatives in New York and all the homemade food made me gain weight.

Well, I love to make sauce but I don't always have the time. I use Prego once in a while but has anyone ever heard of Spatini? My Mom used it all the time. It comes in a box. There are bags of italian seasonings in the the packages and you just mix it in with the tomato paste and water and it is pretty good when you are too busy.

I like to use "Classico" Roasted Garlic and Mushroom. I still doctor it up a bit with lots of ground meat, and mushrooms. Let it simmer for a long time and thicken, It's even better the 2nd day right?
